Oh Kate. Need I say more. US Elle Style Director Kate Lanphear is a regular on street style blogs and has gained a steady fan base among fellow bloggers with her signature platinum-blonde short hair and impossibly cool wardrobe of blacks and grays. If I were to name my modern day style icon, it would no doubt be her. Lane Crawford obviously feels the same way when they asked Lanphear, along with other stylemakers such as Simon Doonan and Garance Dore, to design the classic trench coat as part of their Heritage 160 project celebrating the legendary department store's 160th anniversary. The result? She turned the classic Burberry staple into an evocative trench ornamented with bundles of hand-rolled latex tubes.
