It's almost here! Season Three premiere of Mad Men is coming out in less than a week, and there's already been a lot of hype leading to it. The most "high profile" one is probably the Vanity Fair article in its September Style issue complete with an amazing spread of Don and Betty shot by Annie Leibowitz. January Jones looks naturally stunning and so elegant that it's like she belonged in that era. Below are some appropriate vintage finds in case you're throwing (or attending) a season premiere party this Sunday. It's time to channel your inner Mad Men character and bottoms up a few old-fashioned cocktails (for little bit of "inappropriate behavior").

summer camp

Once upon a time there was a band from Sweden called The Cardigans. It was formed by 5 individuals including vocalist Nina Persson, who possessed this sugary indie-pop voice that captured the heart of many fans throughout the 90's and early 2000's. With her unique vocals and a charming, vintage-y look, she eventually took on an experimental side project on her own and formed A Camp in 1997. The band released their first album in 2001, and after a 7-year hiatus, it is back in the game again with their 2nd album - Colonia. This time around, the band (which now comprises of Nina, her husband Nathan Larson, and Nikclas Frisk) has transported to New York and is about to start their North American tour. First stop - Bowery Ballroom, New York City!
I'm super psyched about the concert and cannot wait to see Nina's outfit (hopefully it's those 20's-inspired dresses and head pieces that she's been wearing recently). May 26th, mark your calendars!

we miss you already, conan

Last Friday marked the last episode of Late Night with Conan O'Brien (sigh), and we won't be seeing much of Conan until he takes over the Tonight Show in June... in LA (a bigger sigh). I believe NBC is showing re-runs of Conan this week until Jimmy Fallon starts hosting Late Night, but knowing that Conan is moving out of New York and leaving us for Tinseltown is just heart-aching.
