save the last dance

Olivier Theyskens is a genius, and Nina Ricci should be kicking itself for letting him go. Strong vision, fierce shapes, wicked tailoring - this was a hell of a collection. It's by far my favorite show of the season - each look is completely wearable yet the overall effect is magical and even a bit mysterious, partly perhaps due to the sky-high platforms. Those shoes! They might be the tallest platforms I've seen since Vivienne Westwood's legendary ones - and those amazing sparkly pink ones - they are heel-less (me drooling over them)!! I doubt the average Nina Ricci customer would be stepping into them but maybe that's why this collection is so great... Theyskens is probably saving the best for last to showcase the greatest of his talent for his next potential company, whoever that may be.
