dream a little dream of me

When I visited the Dumbo Pop Up Market/ Brooklyn Flea two weekends ago, I came across these beautiful, almost ethereal photographs that I instantly fell in love with. At first sight, they look like vintage photographs from the 1970's perhaps, but when you look at them upfront, you realize they are actually Polaroid transfers brilliantly taken by photographer Matt Schwartz. Because of the slight graininess and blurred edges on the transfers, the effect is very nostalgic - taking me back to the pretty scenes in Soffia Coppola's The Virgin Suicides.
There are girls with all kinds of cutesy props, Californian beaches, sunflowers, modern pin-ups, Coney Island rides... everything I love (and would love to have hanging on my wall even more).

All Poloraid transfers are available for purchase on: she hit pause. studios
